Bachelor Kisses
The hospital is in sight before the second chorus. Mount Stevens General and its old, red brick wards and eternal prefab temporary buildings, its 1970s grey multistorey block and the tall chimney of the incinerator. Birds arguing in the poinciana tree that hangs over the car park as 'Bachelor Kisses' cuts out on its second time through. (p. 3)
