It's dark just after five when I'm driving away from the hospital. And Kate Blue's gone from here for good but I'm seeing her tomorrow.
I think about lunch. Fresh bread from the bakery for a start. And probably my second best bottle of wine.
What if I really like her? What if I crash and burn? What if? What am I going to do with my life?
So many questions. So many pointless questions. In six months, I won't be a second year resident and that's no answer, but it's a start.
I want to call her now, but I'll wait till morning.
The peak hour traffic closes in around me.
