Sunny Garden

    I haven't adjusted by the time we reach Gympie Road and turn left. And that's when it strikes me, how different things are really. We're going to Jacq's place, across town, not turning right and going to the place that's long been in my brain as home. And that I won't see all year. How strange, to think that I'll be in Brisbane all year, and never see the place I've lived in almost all my life. In a way, Geneva was easier to understand. It was supposed to be different. (p. 10-11)
