Nick Earls lends a hand

Sunny Garden patrons may remember that Nick Earls was one of 30 celebrities to lend a hand to Mater Hospitals' Star of Lights 1999 Christmas Appeal. As part of the Star Hands internet auction, a framed, mounted and signed Nick Earls' hand mould was up for grabs.

The successful bidder reported to Sunny Garden that, after posing for photographs, the hand mould is now in pride of place on the living-room wall where it attracts many comments.

A unique piece of art made even more unique by its plaque, which reads: Nick Earls Author of Zig Zag Street, Bachelor Street & Head Games.
